Why did you choose France for your Master’s in AI and Data Management?

How did you decide on your course and navigate the application process?
Choosing a course was relatively straightforward thanks to resources like Campus France, StudyPortals, and Erasmus+. These platforms provided detailed insights into programs, universities, scholarships, and application procedures. They made it easier to compare options and find a program that aligned perfectly with my aspirations. I also explored alumni networks and online communities to gain further clarity and confidence in my decision.
Tell us about your internship experience. How did you secure this opportunity?
I secured my internship at Adaptiv Me, an AI EdTech startup in France, through social media groups and LinkedIn networking. Adaptiv Me focuses on career mentoring and upskilling opportunities powered by generative AI.
During my time there, I worked on their flagship platform, Ask Sétu, which assists students navigating higher education in France. The platform’s mission is to bridge the information gap for Indian students and provide personalised insights into courses, job markets, and professional culture. Contributing to this project was both enriching and meaningful. I was able to apply my technical skills while supporting a vision that aligns with my own goals of making a positive impact.
What challenges did you face in securing internships or jobs in France, and how did you overcome them?
The process can be challenging, especially because it essentially involves adapting to a new job market. Networking played a pivotal role in my success. Platforms like LinkedIn, university career fairs, and job portals played a strong role in helping me secure my internship.
Proactively reaching out to recruiters, customising applications for specific roles, and staying informed about the local job market also made a difference.
What advice do you have for students planning to study in France?
Start early with your research and applications. Learning basic French will make daily interactions smoother. Connect with alumni and professionals to gain insights and guidance.
