Student Story: Reshma Anand, MSc International Marketing at ESCE International Buisness School

Can you tell us a little about your academic and professional background?

I come from London and hold an LLM (Master of Laws) from the University of Bristol. However, I always had a passion for marketing and social media. I decided to make a career change and pursue an MSc in International Marketing at ESCE International Business School in France.

Why did you choose France for your second Master’s?

France stood out to me as a student-friendly country. The academic environment is exceptional, and the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture was highly appealing. Additionally, ESCE offered a practical, hands-on approach to learning that was a refreshing change from the more theoretical focus I experienced in London.

I also found the entire admission process very smooth and transparent. The university was approachable and supportive, which made the transition seamless. I especially appreciated the modules and the expertise of the tutors — they were the best part of the course.

What are you currently doing professionally?

I’m currently an Assistant Marketing and Communications Intern at Omnes Education, which happens to be my alma mater. This opportunity arose due to my active involvement as a student ambassador during my time at ESCE. I now manage the institution’s social media accounts and oversee international admissions — a role that perfectly aligns with my career aspirations.

How did you finance your studies, and what challenges did you face?

I financed my studies independently. Since I applied last minute, I was eligible only for a 10% discount. Managing finances and settling into a new culture were challenges, but I embraced them as part of the learning experience.

What advice would you give to future students considering France?

Understand that language barriers might be challenging initially, but with time and practice, they will improve.

What’s one key takeaway from your experience in France?

Studying in France taught me the importance of being open to opportunities, whether academic or professional. My time here has been a blend of practical learning and cultural immersion, which has significantly shaped my career and outlook.
